Bloggernacle Choir Rehearsal

By: Kristine - July 27, 2007

Ahem. We want to encourage you all to come out and support the Bloggernacle Choir. The next performance will be at the Sheraton Hotel in Downtown SLC, Friday, August 10, from 9:30 pm until midnight or so, unless someone brings up gender roles or subtleties of Word of Wisdom interpretation, in which case, we’ll be there all night!

The late starting hour (well, late for geriatric bloggers like me!) is so that those of us who are so inclined can attend the “Pillars of My Faith” session of the Sunstone Symposium, which starts at 8. Jana Riess and John Kesler are the featured speakers, and it’s always a great session. You should go!

Feel free to just show up, but it will help us figure out how big a room to reserve if you let us know you’re thinking about coming–e-mail me at kristine dot haglund at gmail I’m looking forward to matching names and faces, and I promise not to say anything in Latin!

  3. Kristine, are you directing?

    What are we singing?

  5. Ann, yes, I’m directing, which means we will sing Renaissance polyphony and bawdy English madrigals :) (Fair Phyllis, anyone?)

But John Dehlin will be there, and will probably try to sing fun stuff, like Broadway musicals.

If Aaron sings, we’re in trouble, I think.

  6. So, this is “Sunstone Goes Tunnel Singing.”

    Shakes head sadly.

They can leave BYU, but they just can’t leave BYU alone.

  7. :) ben–for the record, I’ve never been to BYU, never been tunnel-singing. (Although I’m afraid that if I had gone to BYU, I would have been a hardcore tunnel-singer).

  14. Count me in too. I would like to meet some of you in person. Because I’m traveling up Friday after work, I may be slightly late. If all goes well, I should be there by 10pm though.
