A Lord’s Prayer

By: Sam MB - January 25, 2007

Heavenly Father’s Day. You’re welcome that we’re healthy. Thank you for Jesus, the glorious, the beautiful.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

–AA, 2007 (cf Mt 18:10; Mk 10:14-6 which we will paraphrase as “please indulge a sentimental father”)

  1. Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

    Congratulations, new father.

And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

  2. Hope you are paying homage to your admirable sentimentality and keeping a separate record of such treasures. I didn’t and regret it.

  3. I sometimes think part of the “Book of Remembrance” motif from Smith’s OT revisions (JST) and his own “Book of the Law of the Lord” are an attempt to capture the past in a meaningful way, to protest the inevitable erosion of passing time. I’m trying to remember better.
